I will show you how you can easily organize your toy closet.
You know the drill.
Christmas comes, and the toys roll in.
When it’s all said and done, you look around and think,
“Where the {insert word of your choice} are we going to put all of this stuff?!?!”
Well, this year I was ready.
Santa didn’t phase me a bit.
Here is how I organized the toy closet!
Miss L has two closets in her room. The second, unused closet got turned into a “toy closet” after her birthday this year. We actually found a metal shelving unit {at Home Depot} that fit perfectly in her closet…what are the odds? We Mr. Hoff put ittogether right inside the closet!
I was pretty strategic with organizing this closet. Miss L is still pretty small, and can’t reach above the second shelf. I purposely put the things she plays with most in easily accessible open-fronted baskets down low. The toys that she plays with less are higher up.
Don’t worry. Girl can get to her boa. Not a problem.
…the best part of this post? I’m giving you my tub labels fo’ free! 🙂
See below.
Sources:
Shelves: Home Depot
Open-fronted pink baskets and clear tubs: Wal-Mart
Heart tubs: Target (last year)
Pink totes: garage sale (whoot!)
I laminated my labels and attached them to the tubs using Velcro.

Looks great! My daughter has two closets in her room too and we turned the small one into a toy closet. Our problem is the giant collection of board games that we all love. I think they need their own closet! Yours is much better than mine so maybe I’ll add that to my to do list this year.

Oooohhh…a game board game closet…that would be amazing! 🙂

I love how that rack fit right into the closet perfectly! It’s the perfect place to keep her toys organized…until she’s about 12 and then she’ll need it for clothes lol. Love the labels and attaching them with velcro is a great idea! XO

Thanks, Christy! Mr. Hoff was very reluctant to install shelves into the walls, because he knew the purpose of this closet would eventually change. One more reason to love the fact that we could just build the shelves in the closet! 🙂

Awesome! It’s such a great way to keep the toys organized and IN THEIR ROOMS! I really dislike too many toys in my living room! 🙂
