I love the calm serene beachy look of our new bathroom makeover!
Mr. Hoff and I made-over our beachy bathroom in one day a few weeks ago.
We could have been on Trading Spaces.
{In fact, I may have been pretending that I was on Trading Spaces and that I had mere hours left to finish the beachy bathroom makeover.}
Now, to be fair, the cabinets and trim had already been painted {White Dove by Benjamin Moore} by our painter earlier in the summer. I snapped some cell phone pictures of this space before he started:
Mr. Hoff and I painted the walls {Antique White by Dutch Boy}.
Hung our new Kenroy Home mirror.
Installed new hardware and lighting. { Hardware is from Hobby Lobby}.
We made a new towel rack out of some pallet wood and hung our beach sign.
I made some fun starfish hanging art!
It came together so nicely! I love the look of our new bathroom!
We finally could get rid of Miss L’s princess potty…I was so over that thing. 😉
It was fun to just spend a day painting with my husband. We painted and listened to Jack Johnson and Dave Matthews…
It definitely brought back memories of the two of us fixing up our first house together before we had a baby and moved.
😉
Have a great day!

I am so inspired! We moved in about four years ago and I never really thought about my bathrooms before but keep seeing awesome makeovers like this so I think I’m putting them on my future to do list!

The good thing about bathrooms are that they are small and quick to makeover! And, you really don’t have to break the bank to get drastic results! Good luck! 😉

Love your bathroom! Where did you get your step stool?
April Hoff says
I actually spray painted and stenciled it. It was a garage sale find, and I’ll be sharing the tutorial very soon!

The hardware completely makes the whole thing for me. Is it totally weird that a detail like that makes such a difference? This makes me wish our landlord would let us paint our bathroom cabinets.
April Hoff says
Welll….maybe he’ll let you change the hardware? 😉 Thanks for your kind words! I love the hardware too!

HI April- I am starting a similar project and didn’t know what color to use. Thanks for the details. Would love for you to link this to Friday Favorites going on now! laura

It looks amazing April!! I love how fresh it feels – what a great transformation. I love the pretending to be on trading spaces part… the pressure helps, right?!
Kim says
Hi April, looks amazing!! Nice color pallet. What color do you have on your walls and what color did you do the cabinets in? Did you use any top coat on these? Kim
April Hoff says
No top coat on cabinets. The walls are Antique White by Dutch Boy. 🙂
