Chalkboard Tree With Burlap Leaves
I’m so pleased that I have something to post today…
After an epic burlap project fail, I was left scratching my head about what to do for this week’s burlap challenge.
Luckily, I had this beautiful, old mirror that I snagged (for free!) from a garage sale last summer.
(I had expressed interest, and after it didn’t sell, it got rescued from the Goodwill pile and delivered to my house!!!)
The glass was a bit damaged, so I didn’t feel too bad about covering up the glass of this gorgeous mirror with chalkboard paint. Too see how I turn mirrors to chalkboards, click here.
I simply drew the tree onto the chalkboard and added the hand-cut burlap leaves.
I stuck the leaves to the chalkboard using regular scotch tape!
Let’s see what my co hosts came up with this week!

This is STUNNING, and I can’t believe how simple it was! I think craft fails sometime turn out for the best! (Though I thought your other one was cute too!) Thanks so much for the inspiration, April!
