If you love seashells as much as I do you must make this easy diy seashell plank!
I know what you’re thinking.
She did not hot-glue seashells to something again.
{Ummmm. Yes, I did.}
This has GOT to be my easiest DIY seashell project yet, and I am in love with the result!
The best part is I didn’t spend a penny on my new piece of seashell art! I just hot-glued some sand dollars {supplied by my aunt} to an old pallet board. {Pallet was found on the side of the road.
I love seashell decor! It’s so easy to make, and you can really turn anything into a piece of seashell art!
Another great thing about seashell art is that you can put it anywhere! I have the Seashell Plank in my master bath right now, but it could go anywhere in my house!
Let’s see what my $30 Thursday girls are up to this month:
I love Shayna’s Coat Hanger to Towel Rack!
Check out Jen’s new Shaker Style House Shutters!
Have a great day!

Thanks, Selene! It might just move around to different places in the house! 😉

Hi April! I love your blog and am a relatively new follower. You have great style and this project is fab! You should know though, that those are not actually sea shells or starfish, they are sand dollars. They are related to starfish and unlike a sea shell that was once a home to a crustacean or other sea creature, sand dollars are actually animals.

And in case you’re interested, here’s the Christian legend of the sand dollar:

Wow! Thanks for all of the info! I actually knew that, but was typing this post a little late and just typed the wrong name! Whoops! 😉

Love the simplicity of this. I may have to steal this idea 🙂
April Hoff says
Thanks, Erlene! Steal away!

I absolutely love your seashell plank. I plan to make a version of it as I’ve just moved to the California coast and collect shells all the time. I do feel that you are identifying yours as starfish when they are actually sand dollars. Thanks for the great idea!
April Hoff says
Thanks, Dianne! I knew that they were sand dollars, I just mistyped the name! Whooops! 😉
