Here are my best tips for a neutral and sparkly holiday dining room!
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and it just so happens that it’s also the most sparkly time of the year in our dining room. If you have read some of my previous holiday posts, then you know that I was bound and determined to follow some simple holiday rules this year:
Rule #1: No red.
Rule #2: Use metallics and texture.
Rule #3: There must be lots of sparkle.
Now that you know my ground rules, let’s begin the tour! 🙂
Dining Room Decor Ideas
Oh, hey there sparkly Christmas tree centerpiece. I see you over there.
This holiday dining room actually came together very quickly for me. It seems like it works that way every year. Some spaces come together in a snap, others take some thinking, re-thinking, and a Target run to make them look just right. 😉
My cute tiered-tray is all decked out with LED House Ornaments and Moscow Mule Mugs.
For the centerpiece, I started with these bottle brush champagne trees and combined them with some mercury glass trees (purchased at Marshall’s.) I added in some lamb’s ear and eucalyptus leaves in a large rectangular tray, and a sparkly holiday centerpiece was born.
I tied some simple linen napkins with gray ribbon and added some mercury glass ornaments for a little more metallic bling.
I really love the centerpiece and am contemplating if I can leave it up through the winter…what do you think?
My shelves are always so much fun to decorate! The sign on top is from Smallwood Home. I just added some sparkly bottle brush trees, and LED House Ornaments to the shelves to carry the sparkle over to this space and continue the look. Then I also added some lamb’s ear to the garland on top to tie the greenery into the centerpiece on the table.
I also created some sweet photo name cards to add a special touch to the holiday table.
…and that is my holiday dining room! I don’t think this space has ever looked so pretty. I’ve been wiping glitter off of the floor pretty regularly, but it’s totally worth it!

This is absolutely stunning! Man, I’ve been struggling this Christmas with decorating. I feel like I’m so limited on available space and the decor I have is not quite what I absolutely love! Seeing this really puts me in the Christmas spirit! Love it- great job!
