It felt so good to throw a sweet party for my sweet girl.

Miss L. ran around with a huge smile on her face the whole time.

She was happy in a way that only a 2 year-old, with butterfly wings on her head, party shoes on her feet, surrounded by all the people she loves, could be.

…having cupcakes to eat was just icing on the cake. (Pun intended.)

She had lots of gifts to open…

…but, somehow, I don’t think that’s what mattered most to her.

Nope.
No present can replace chasing your cousins around in the garage with your new ballerina tutu and old rain boots on. (Don’t ask me how she ended up in that combo…)

No present can replace being sung “Happy Birthday” by those who love you most…

..and NO present can replace a face full of icing and cupcake.

I have a lot of people I want to make sure I thank for helping make Miss L’s 2nd birthday the greatest day!

Thank you to Mr. Hoff.
He makes life easier in so many ways, including, but not limited to: running to the grocery store and buying everything we need the day of the party, giving me time at home, alone, to get everything “just perfect”, and for being patient with me. I know you don’t always understand why I spend so much time throwing parties like this, but you just roll with it.
I love you.
Thank you to our parents.
You show up with food, presents, and big smiles. Then you help clean up everything before you leave. You also help us a lot with Miss L. I couldn’t do this “blogging thing” without you.
We love you.
Thank you to our siblings.
You drive so far, you rearrange your days, and you don’t complain a bit.
We love you.

A special thanks also goes to the amazing and talented Trish, from Trish’s Design Studio.
Trish made the beautiful “Happy Birthday” banner, cupcake toppers, and food label cards for Miss L’s birthday party. {All pictured above.}
Trish worked with me to create these beautiful decorations in the colors and theme I chose. She has great tutorials on her blog to help you put together your decorations too!
Be sure to check out Trish’s Etsy shop to order your party printables!
Have a great day!

STUNNING! The only thing more adorable than all of the decorations is the sweet little birthday girl herself. And I LOVE that family photo– what a gorgeous family! I’ll be sharing anywhere and everywhere!

Adorable party! Where did you find the butterflies hanging on the branch and in the glass jars?
Thank you, Meredith! It was really was one of my favorites! 😉 I got the butterflies in the dollar spot at Target a few years ago. I would think you might be able to find little butterflies in a craft store, then hot glue them to mini clothespins to get a similar look. 😉
