A Snowed In Weekend - House by Hoff

What do you do when you are snowed in all weekend?

We were snowed in alllll weekend.

It was lovely.

This is what our stunning backyard looked like.

Miss L. watched her new favorite movie, “The Sound of Music” {Carrie Underwood-style}.

She says, “I wanna watch Do-Way-Mee!!!”

She’s going to have that entire song memorized before the end of the month, just you wait…

Then we made, “Christmas cookies”.

Our Christmas cookies are made of play dough, and jewels.

You all know I don’t bake.

I got to play with my favorite toy too…my camera.

On Sunday we ventured out into the fluffy snow….

for exactly ten minutes knee deep snow!

Then we were over it.

{For the record, Miss L had gloves on when we went out, but she outright refuses to wear them.}

We decided it would be more fun to make our snowman inside.

Then, Mommy played with her camera some more.

{I’d been trying to figure out Christmas tree bokeh, and I think I got the hang of it!}

Love this!

{The key to good bokeh is long shutter speed and open up your aperature.}

It really was nice to stay home, get loads of laundry done, play with my favorite 2 year-old, and relax.

I didn’t even work on one craft or diy project…total relaxation!
