Fall Home Tour

Hi!  It’s a very special Wednesday around here, because I’m participating in “An Autumn Welcome” fall home tour series with some seriously fabulous bloggers!

fall home tour 2014

If you are new to House by Hoff, welcome!  I’m so glad you found your way here today!

Let’s get to the tour!

inexpensive fall mantel 2

I would say that, for the most part, I’m decorating pretty simply for fall this year.  I haven’t gotten too crazy with pumpkins, gourds, etc….yet. 😉

fall mantel-5

I created my fall mantel using garage sale and roadside finds…which is my favorite way to decorate!

Fall Chalkboard Idea-1

I love to switch up my chalkboards for the seasons.

Fall Chalkboard Idea-6

No matter the season, you’ll find that my vintage radios, books, clocks, and cameras will find their way into my vignettes.  They’re sneaky like that.

Fall Chalkboard Idea-10

I have found myself really embracing more warm, wood textures into my home lately.  The warm wood tones in this wicker chair really balance out my cool wall color and white carpet.

vintage container succulent planters-3

My vintage succulent planters look good no matter where I put them.  They’re so versatile.

Fall Vignette-1

My dining room is also fall-ready!

Fall Vignette-7

I had so much fun placing bright, pretty flowers in my vintage glass vases and jars.  Too bad they didn’t last very long.  {Errr….maybe if I had put water in the vases, they would have lasted longer?}

Fall Vignette-22

More old books, fake succulents, and vintage finds…are you picking up on my style, here?

Fall Vignette-19

My daughter’s little play-area is getting some fall love too.  I made these vintage pumpkin pennants last year and love them!  See more of my vintage halloween decor here.

I love switching out the little throw pillow that sits on her chalkboard chair for each season too.  {Sorry.  This pillow is not a DIY…it’s from last year’s Target Dollar Spot.}

….and just because we just finished our guest bathroom makeover, I’m sharing a few pics!

There is absolutely nothing fall about this space…;)

    Everything is absolutely adorable! quick question that I am hoping you have the answer to;…the two turquoise chairs in your daughter’s play area…do you know the paint color? Much appreciated!

    • April Hoff says

      Yes! It’s Krylon’s spray paint in “ocean breeze” You can get it anywhere, but Wal-Mart is the cheapest! 😉

        thank you sooo much! I found your original post about the chairs as well!!! I have been looking for the perfect robin’s egg blue spray paint color and I think this is it!

    I love your style April and your fall touches are so perfect! The chalkboard sign is my favorite. I keep seeing it on pinterest and every time I go to pin it it reminds me that I already did! I love it! It was so much fun participating in this fall home tour with you 🙂 Hope you are having a great week so far.

    I love it April! So many pretty fall vignettes…I love the fabric on your sofa pillows! I feel like our house is so torn apart right now that my fall tour is a disaster. Oh well, at least I feel inspired by the gorgeous fall decor that the rest of the tour has to share!!

  4. says

    So, so very beautiful, April!! I’m obsessed with your gorgeous photography. I need lessons from you!! Seriously! My favourites are the little flowers in the vintage bottles, and the pumpkin pennant over your daughter’s desk. Oh, and your mantel looks like something out of a magazine. I love all of it! Your bathroom is looking amazing, too! Did you make that Beach sign? It’s so cool!

    • April Hoff says

      Thank you, Karen! The biggest tip I have is to get a tripod! It’s changed my photography! 😉 Thank you for all of your sweet words!

    What a great tour!! I love your throw pillows! Where did you get them or if you made them, where did you find the fabric?
