My mantel is like my blank canvas…go with me here.

I see it as a space to decorate, wipe clean, and then redecorate as I find new inspiration.

My inspiration for this mantel is my newly finished chalkboard window! This was another window that I found in a stack on the side of the road. I seriously couldn’t believe that it had chippy blue paint on it. How perfect is that?

I already had some blue ball jars, but recently found some more at a thrift shop. I found vintage medicine bottles at a garage sale. Love.

I am going to give you the full tutorial for my chalkboard window and the seashell garland next week! Can’t wait!
I love beach-inspired design so much that I started a Pinterest board to collect Beach Inspiration!
Follow me on Pinterest and check out my new board, won’t you?
Have a great weekend!
So cute; I love all the blue!

Thanks, Mary Leigh! 🙂
Hey! That turned out really well! Did you paint onto the glass or add a board behind? I guess I’ll wait and see on your tutorial!
Haha! It will be in the tutorial…(but I painted right on the glass!)
You ALWAYS have the best mantels. I find that having our TV on our mantel REALLY limits what I can do to it. Ergghh.
Thanks! I always feel like my mantel is one big challenge for me, so that’s nice of you to say! 🙂 This time I feel like I got it just right!
Another amazing window repurpose! Love the chalkboard! Jenna @ Rain on a Tin Roof
