I wish I lived by the sea.
But you know what they say about wishing…..
Since I can’t live by the sea, I’ve been bringing the sea to me by decorating my house with beachy décor. I made this lovely Starfish and Sand Dollar Garland in literally 5 (maybe 6) minutes.
Here’s how I did it:
1. I hot glued some twine to the back of my center starfish. I used a pencil to really push the twine, hot glue, and starfish together while the glue was hot.
2. I tied a piece of twine around the starfish just for looks (see arrow). I strung two sand dollars onto the twine on either side of the starfish.
3. I repeated the same process for the second and third starfish, and strung a sand dollar on each end of the garland to finish it!
*Tip*
Make sure to start with a long piece of twine that gives you plenty to work with. You can always cut the twine down on each end when you’re finished with the garland.
There. That was easy!
If I can’t live by the sea, I might as well decorate like I do… 🙂

I love the idea of a sea shell garland. I’m going to have to make more baking soda sea shells so I can make this.
