I think Miss L. has permanently reset my internal alarm clock.
No matter where I am, or what I’m doing, I seem to wake up no later than 7:00 AM.
Such was the case last weekend in Nashville. As the 5 other girls in our room peacefully slept, I was wide awake at 6:30 AM. Grrr…
I decided to quietly sneak out of the room with my camera and go take pictures of the streets of Nashville. I thoroughly enjoyed myself as I walked around in the early hours of the day. The city was different in the morning. Quiet, empty, but no less alive than it is at night.
The honky tonk signs down Broadway are a site to behold. I love how vintage they look in the daylight.
Good morning, Elvis. You’re up early!
I don’t particularly like bar-b-que…but I love this sign.
Printer’s Ally…wouldn’t go there at night, but it’s quite pretty in the morning!
I always take pictures of Merchant’s when I’m in Nashville…it just so happens to be the place where Mr. Hoff proposed. True story. {There was Elvis music involved and everything…}
At some point in the morning, I started getting texts that the girls were up, and that I should return to the room. I wrapped up my morning snapshots and headed back to the hotel.
I think I’m going to try to wake up early and do this more often when I’m on vacation. I liked seeing the city before the many tourists were out and about. The morning light was perfect too!

This will be my last post for this week. I’m taking a “4th of July Break” for the rest of the week.
Jen, Shayna and I will be doing our $30 Thursday next week due to the holiday.
Have a safe and happy 4th!

love the photos… I do the same thing on vaca. It’s amazing how different NYC or Boston is first thing in the a.m…. I like it so much better. 🙂
Have an amazing 4th!
