I recently had a spray paint revelation.

To prepare myself to go back to work, I’ve been spray painting things around my house and turning them into classroom treasures!

I wanted to “tile” the bottom of the tray (which I spray painted a tangerine color first) with scrap book paper squares. (I am literally incapable of cutting a single piece of paper to fit the bottom of this tray perfectly.) So, using Mod Podge and a foam brush, I tiled the bottom of the tray.

Doesn’t it make the perfect little tray to put cups of pencils and highlighters in?

Cute! (And it matches my spray painted chicken wire frame!)

The tangerine spray paint is Krylon’s Bauhaus Gold, which I found at Wal-Mart! 🙂
Have a great day!

Very great way to re-use those! Cute April 🙂 xo Kristin
Thanks, Kristin! I saved that cheap wood tray, I knew it would come in handy at some point! 🙂
I love the scrapbook paper “tile”. Your classroom is going to be so cute and welcoming!

Thanks so much, Christy!
So cute! I love it…. what a great idea for desk organization!
I love it when I can transform something so easily!
I want one! So fun!
Ca-ute! I’d put that on my teacher desk. (However it would be buried in paperwork within the first week or so!)
