Are you ready for my last spray paint project for the week?
I’m loving this chalkboard tray that I made!
It started as a…well, I’m not sure what I would call this. A cross-stitched sampler tray?! I got it at Goodwill for $1.50.
First, I taped off the glass top.
Then, I used some spray paint primer to prime the wood.
Next, I spray painted the tray with a few coats of Bauhaus Gold by Krylon. {Not pictured.}
I removed the tape, then brushed the glass with some primer.
Last, I brush painted the glass top with two coats of chalkboard paint.
Won’t this be so cute in my classroom?

I start my new teaching job on Monday!
Wish me luck!

It looks so much better being the new hot colour yellow, and a double purpose with the chalk board base. Great project 🙂
