Good morning, friends!
I hope you’ve had a good week!
Mine’s been something of a roller coaster ride, but more on that later.
I loved the polka dot garland that I made for my sister’s shower so much, that I think no party or holiday around here will go without it from now on.
So easy, so pretty, so cute!

Now for my “big news”.
I had no intentions of returning to teaching before having another baby.
No intentions at all.
However, a job opportunity pretty much fell into my lap, and it’s an opportunity that I feel I can’t refuse.
I will be working for one year at a local elementary school as a full-time Title 1 teacher.
That means I get to be a small-group reading instructor all day long! 🙂
{When I taught 5th grade, reading and literacy were my bread and butter, my favorite part of the day, my true gift as a teacher.}
This job will mean some changes for our family:
– Miss L. will have to go to daycare 2 days a week. (My parents and my MIL are pitching in to help on the other days…I’m thanking my lucky stars for the family support!)
– I will have to start using an alarm clock again.
– I will dress up and go to work every day! (I’ve already started shopping!)
– I’ll (hopefully) meet and work with nice people!
– We’ll have to get into a routine of packing lunches and laying out clothes the night before.
I see this as a new adventure, a great opportunity, and, like I mentioned before, something I just couldn’t pass up.
What does that mean for my blog?
I’m not sure.
I will continue to blog, you can count on that!
The topics might change a little.
The projects may be a fewer and farther between.
But the blog will go on!
🙂
I hope you have a great weekend!

Thanks, Bronwyn! It’s good to know that it is possible! I know my blogging time will probably be limited to weekends and after Miss L goes to bed…(so pretty much the same as it is now…ha!)

Congrats April! Sounds like a job that is perfect for your passion area as a teacher. Literacy is my big focus and love at school too … I have taught grades k-7 and currently have K but it is only my second year at that level out of ten years teaching. I got to do one year of small group reading instruction too… It might be a nice balance for you going back to a position like that instead of worrying about setting up a whole elementary classroom – you can just focus on what you love!
