1. Consider setting the party up the day before to snap all of your decoration shots.
Every year before my daughter’s birthday, I set up the party the day before to snap all of the photos of the decorations. I try to take them when my house is getting plenty of natural light. Natural light = beautiful photos. My husband takes Miss L. out for the day so that I have the time and space I need to get the shots I want. {Thank you again, Mr. Hoff!}
The day of the party is so busy, and I don’t want to have to worry about getting great photos of decorations while people are walking through the door. It takes some of the pressure off on party day too!
4. Capture the details!
As cute as my decorations are, my little party girl is even cuter. I love looking back and remembering the funny things she did, how she opened her presents, how excited she was to see her guests, etc.
{I’d do well to practice what I preach here! Ha!}
