I know.
I woke up so excited today too!
$30 Thursday is still my absolute favorite day of the month!
I’ve been a busy little birdie over my spring break this week.
I’ve been decorating, painting, and shopping at our new Hobby Lobby a few times.

I’ve got birdies on the brain lately….
So when I found this total gem of a glass dome and wood pedestal thingy at Goodwill this week, I knew what had to be done. It needed to be dry brushed with Country Chic’s chalk paint in “Bliss” ASAP.

I love Country Chic’s paint. It’s amazing.
This little wooden plate dried in like 5 minutes. Which is good, because I typically don’t have a whole lot of patience when it comes to decorating and waiting for paint to dry! I love the weathered and distressed finish that this paint gives every piece.
I used some tiny stick wreaths and moss from Hobby Lobby to create little natural-looking nests for the birdies {which are also from Hobby Lobby}.

So, I love the glass dome over the top of my little display, but it was so hard to photograph it without getting a glare…but here it is all together!

See? Too much glare. It’s not so bad in person, but in a photo…
Little birdies are popping up everywhere in my dining room.

I will be sharing my entire “spring-ified” dining room next Tuesday when I’ll be taking part in a “Parade of Homes” spring home tour with some fellow bloggers!
{More info on that at the end of this post!}

Let’s see what my $30 Thursday buddies are up to today!

Isn’t Jen’s Mirrored Buffet divine? That girl has such a talent for furniture painting!

Shayna is not capable of creating a project I don’t love. Here is her Beef Butcher Guide Canvas!

This is soooo cute! I have a wood plate with cloche, and I’ve been pondering the idea of painted the wood plate – you totally confirmed it for me today. Totally doing it – yours looks great!!
CLOCHE! That’s the word I couldn’t think of and couldn’t find on google….I seriously could not remember that word! Ha!!! Thanks, Chelsea!
