This thrifty holiday upcycle included an old bar stool, some spray paint and little decoration!
It is a tale as old as time: Blogger walks into a bar. Blogger finds cute old bar stool. Blogger spray paints said bar stool. Blogger decorates bar stool for Christmas. Never gets old. 😉

What could be better than a thrifty upcycle? A thrifty holiday upcycle of course! I was so happy when the girls from my “Get Your DIY On” group and I settled on a thrifty holiday theme this month. I enjoy nothing more than updating an old tired piece into something fab with some imagination, vision, and, of course, (say it with me!) spray paint!
Here is what this old bar stool first looked like when my sister salvaged it from a garage sale for me. (Thank you, sister!) It’s so cute, no? I loved the character, the ladder back, the woven seat…love it all.
I picked up two cans of “Banner Red” Krylon spray paint and went to work transforming this bar stool for my holiday decor.
Then I picked up a little holiday wreath (from Hobby Lobby) and attached it to the back of my red stool using some floral wire and fun holiday ribbon. I love this little punch of holiday cheer in the kitchen!
Are you seeing little peeks of my holiday dining room in the background? I’m so excited to share part 1 of my holiday home tour with you tomorrow!
I’m also very excited to report that my orange-colored kitchen island will be receiving a major face lift in the next few weeks…Which has me more excited than you can imagine. {Imagine 8,000 happy emoji faces right here.}
Have a great day! Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for part 1 of my Holiday Home Tour! Whoot!
