My garage-sale game has been strong this summer, you guys. I have spent the last two Saturday mornings driving around the lakes and picking up some treasures. I’m excited to show you some fun garage sale makeovers over the next few weeks.
We’ll start today with a crappy, old picture frame that I’ve upcycled to make a pretty backdrop for my new eucalyptus wreath.
She’s pretty now, but here is where we started:
I actually loved the old, tarnished gold frame, so I left it just how it was. The only thing I really did to upcycle this piece was to spray paint the cardboard backing (yes, that’s right, you can spray paint cardboard) with some chalkboard paint.
I used a staple gun to staple the backing back into place, and this super-easy project was finished! I have it hanging in our entryway, and I love how it looks there!
Such a fun piece for an entryway, no? 😉
Let’s see what my GYDO cohosts came up with for their chalkboard projects!
