Let’s strap on our furry boots, put on our stocking caps, and bundle up! It’s holiday home tour season, and I’m sharing Part I of my 2016 Holiday Home Tour today! I’m excited to be participating in a “Christmas Mantels Around America” blog hop today that highlights Christmas Mantels across the United States and Canada…how cool is that?! Thanks to Suzy, from Worthing Court for hosting!
Our holiday mantel this year is the centerpiece of the living room, and looks so festive all lit up for the season. If I am home, chances are pretty good that you’ll find all of our Christmas lights on.
I’m using these rustic reindeer on the mantel again this year. They just seem to be the perfect size and scale for underneath the ginormous dahlia mirror that’s peeking out from under the holiday wreath. I tied little ribbons around their neck to bring a pop of red to the otherwise very neutral mantel. I love neutral, don’t get me wrong, but something about the holidays makes me want to incorporate red everywhere.
Layering is my favorite. I love layering pieces over old windows, and the holidays are no exception. I often find myself looking at vignettes and thinking….”hmmmm….what else could I layer here?” 😉
I just love how cozy and bright our home feels this time of year, isn’t it just the best feeling to snuggle up on the couch with a lit Christmas tree in front of you? Nothing beats it.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, and checking out our mantel! Part II of my Holiday Home Tour is coming up on Thursday, so come on back!
