Simple is the word I would use to describe my summer living room decor. Not a whole lot of fuss, just a few simple pieces in neutral tones for a fresh summer palette. Today I’m sharing my living room as part of the Summer Home Tour hosted by Marty from a Stroll Thru Life. If you’re stopping by from ZDesign At Home, welcome! I’m always in awe of Zabrina’s beautiful home! Check the bottom of this post for the week long lineup of amazing summer home tours!
The kids are out of school, the temperatures are warming up, and we’ve pulled the sunscreen, bug spray, and bathing suits out of the drawers. It must be summer! As I mentioned above, I was craving simplicity this summer. Simple can be so pretty, right?
With the heat of summer, simplicity feels good to me. I’ve chosen to go with mostly neutral color palette with color being brought in with plants,a few pops of terracotta, and the blues in my vintage area rug.
I found the neat framed photograph of the fiddle leaf fig at Hobby Lobby the other week, and it really inspired this whole room. You just never know where your inspiration will come from, am I right? I liked how it tied in with the faux eucalyptus on the other side of the mirror on the mantel.
My coffee table is styled simply with my potted Boston fern and a few wood vases from Hobby Lobby.
My leather pillow came from a local boutique that I work at, The Bent Fork. I love the punch of masculine leather with the otherwise kind of feminine accessories. 😉
My pretty eucalyptus in a terracotta planter is so pretty! I love using the color terracotta right now!
It’s fun to bring the terracotta color into the room with this fun pouf too!
So, what is your summer living room decor looking like? Are you going with crazy with color? Keeping it neutral? I’m sharing my sources below!
Be sure to pin these ideas for later! 🙂
As I mentioned above, I am taking part in the 2019 Summer Home Tour! The next stop on the tour is Duke Manor Farm! You’ll love the summer touches Laura has added to their beautiful farmhouse!
