My Elegant Holiday Home Tour uses simple ideas, metallic decor, and lots of bottle brush trees!
Hi, Friends! Christmas is in two weeks, and my home is ready. I’m not ready. My presents are not wrapped. My neighbor gifts are not together. I haven’t watched enough holiday movies with my family yet. But, my house is ready. And that’s not nothing….right?
Today I’m taking part in the Seasonal Simplicity Holiday Home Tour hosted by the lovely Krista, from The Happy Housie. If you are stopping by from Rambling Renovators, welcome!
Our front stoop is looking good, if I do say so myself. I purchased two live winter green arrangements for my galvanized planters at our local grocery store. I removed the bright red bows and berries, and added my own touches to make them look more elegant and cohesive with the wreath on my front door.
I got this Cedar and White Berry Wreath from Magnolia. I had been looking for a wreath that would look good during the holidays, but also last me all winter. I love the realistic Cedar branches and little white berries. 🙂
By adding the same ribbon, some gold pinecones, and a bit of my own eucalyptus leaves, I was able to create some beautiful planters for the front stoop. I just happen to photograph these after a little snow had fallen, which adds the perfect touch.
Inside our home is the living room. A warm and lovely place for the three of us (and our doggy) to cozy up together.
I reused many decorations from last year, but I did find a simple garland to drape asymmetrically across the mantel. My husband and daughter swear that something is wrong with the garland and it looks crooked…they always have to give me a hard time. 😉
Looking at my mantel is kind of like playing I Spy…can you find the peace sign ornament?
This acacia wood bowl on the coffee table is full of beautiful ornaments. This was actually my dining room centerpiece last year. I liked it so much, I just stuck it on the coffee table this year.
Cute little vignette in the corner of the room. I love to add little bottle brush trees wherever I can.
Our open shelves are one of my favorite pieces in the home. It gives me such a fun place to display and arrange my favorite pieces. I think this may be the fourth or fifth year that I’ve added bottle brush trees to just about every tier.
Moving along to our dining room, you’ll find that I have left the table very simple. Elegant, simple, and not overworked. That’s how I’m rolling this year. 😉
A simple thyme topiary with some happy little ornaments does the trick!
We made some ginger bread houses the other day, and I couldn’t resist snapping a few pics of the candy snatcher in action.
Of course, no room can go with out MORE bottle brush trees. Will I ever tire of them? I really doubt it!
I’ll let our little (13 year-old) Cockapoo, Ellie bid you adieu! She’s so happy you stopped by today, and so am I!
The next stop on the holiday home tour is Leslie from Deeply Southern Home. She is one of the sweetest ladies I’ve ever met! (We met at a Home Depot dinner a few years ago, and she’s simply adorable!)
This week I’m joining some of my talented blogging friends for the Christmas Seasonal Simplicity Series home tour week! We’re all sharing part of our home decked out for Christmas. Be sure to check out these fabulous Christmas decor ideas by clicking on the links below each image.
