I’m keeping my fall decor simple with neutral pumpkins, metallic and natural accessories, and bits of character!
Well, hi there! Imagine my shock and surprise when I logged into my blog a few days ago and realized that the last post I wrote was in June. Yikes! Where did the time go?! I’m sure time has had a strange ability to move slow and fly simultaneously for you too these last few months! The Hoffs have been doing really well! Miss L. just started third grade! (She was 11 months old when I started this blog!!!!) She’s back in school (wearing a mask every day) and loving it! I’m thrilled to be back into a regular routine, and am finding it much easier to manage April Hoff Photography, House by Hoff, and my personal sanity now that we’re all finding our groove again.
But enough about me, let’s talk about my simple and neutral early fall decor! Thank you to Krista, from The Happy Housie, for inviting me to be a part of the Seasonal Simplicity Fall Home Tour! you can find the entire lineup at the end of this post!
I was kind of laughing to myself after I put out my really simple and neutral early fall decor this year. I used to GO ALL OUT when decorating for each and every season. More was more, and color was everywhere! It’s funny how our taste changes and evolves through the years, isn’t it? Where I used to spend days upon days decorating for fall, now I spend probably less than an hour…ha! 😉
I brought out my really neutral pumpkins again this year. I used them last year too. There is just something about the soft neutral pinkish color, grays, whites, and soft greens that feels like fall, but not overdone.
My gold coffee mug is my favorite! I pointed it out to my mom at Starbucks last year, and you’ll never believe it….It ended up in my stocking! 🙂 I’m into bronze and gold right now, so it’s just perfect!
The soft, soothing colors of our living room make this one of my favorite spots in the house….our doggy likes to snuggle up on that couch too! She has a discerning eye, and really prefers the neutrals too, I can tell.
I found this cute “bunny tail grass” and thought it was perfect to throw in a pink vase.
This is the view of the living room from our dining area. The whole front of the house is a big open space.
Moving on to the mantel! I honestly love the soft simple colors and easy feel of the early fall decor!
This striped throw is really cool! So pretty and neutral. I use it to decorate the living room, and I’ve used it for some newborn and family photos too! Love it when my two worlds collide! 😉
What would a pumpkin be without her crown? I may have kept my early fall decor simple, but it’s not without a little character and whimsy! Also, not to toot my own horn, but I painted that framed watercolor! I have Lucy from Craftberry Bush and her watercolor tutorials to thank for that!
This coffee table centerpiece came together really easily. I already had the faux artichokes in the acacia wood bowl. I simply added the pumpkins and a little wood bead garland to it! I think it would make a pretty dining room table centerpiece too!
Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my simple and neutral early fall decor! I really hope you are inspired, and see that you can easily add a few fun fall accessories to make your space feel fall-ready!
I’ve rounded up my living room sources (or the closest I can find online) below:
