It’s Friday! Whoot!
I’m excited to re-post my laundry room makeover from nearly two years ago.
It is still one of my favorite makeovers to date, and I think it’s because I’ve managed to pack so much awesomeness into one tiny room.
So it all began nearly two years ago when my laundry room still looked like this. {Yeah…. it was baaaaad.}
I needed my laundry room to serve many purposes.
I needed a place to craft and a surface to work on projects. I also wanted to use the available cupboards for craft storage. I made a chicken wire frame, and still use it all the time to clip inspiration for upcoming seasons and holidays! I still love that thing! Under the curtain is the biggest mess you’ve ever seen. Laundry baskets, the dog’s cage, more craft supplies…it’s all there. But, if you can’t see it, it’s not a mess….right?!
A recent addition has been some vintage jelly jars. Aren’t they cute?! One of them has cupcake liners in them. Miss L picked up on that and said, “Ooooooooh! Are those ‘cupcake bakers’ in there?!” Cupcake bakers?! Where does she come up with this stuff? Hilarious!
Okay, so about a year ago, I added a chalkboard window calendar. It is amazing for keeping us organized during the week. It is also perfect for hanging our coats, hats and bags when we walk through the garage door. It might be my favorite project ever. Scratch that. It IS my favorite project EVER.
Since this room is so small, it is very difficult to photograph. I kind of felt like spider man when I was shooting the other day…I was crouching on the washer/dryer, crawling on the counter….it was crazy. This is the best photo that I got that kind of gives you an idea of how this room is all put together.
Above the washer/dryer I keep tubs of various crap. I like to keep my crap stowed away where nobody can see it.
And now, I’d like to introduce you to my newest baby…she is a vintage pantry, and she is DIVINE. I found her just as she is at a garage sale this summer. Right now I use it for more craft supply storage. I love her so much.
This photo of my Chucks has nothing to do with the laundry room makeover, I just loved the picture! It shows you that this room is where I “kick it”….ha! 😉
Let’s see what my “Get Your DIY On” cohosts came up with for our August theme: “Room Revamps”.

Ha! Isn’t it fabulous? If there’s any room in your house that should be a “get in and get out”…it’s your laundry room! 😉

Lovely!! My laundry room is in our ugly, unfinished basement so although the “out of sight, out of mind” is nice, I’m jealous of pretty spaces. Love the vintage pantry too. It’s great!

Thanks, Megan! Don’t even get me started on my ugly, unfinished basement!!! 😉
