Are you ready for my last spray paint project for the week? I'm loving this chalkboard tray that I made! It started as a...well, I'm not sure what I would call this. A cross-stitched sampler tray?! I got it at Goodwill for $1.50. First, I taped off the glass top. Then, I used some spray paint primer to prime the wood. Next, I spray painted the tray with a few coats of Bauhaus Gold by Krylon. {Not pictured.}I removed the tape, then brushed the glass with some ... Read More about One Last Spray Paint Project!

A Cute Spray Painted Tray!
I recently had a spray paint revelation. To prepare myself to go back to work, I've been spray painting things around my house and turning them into classroom treasures! It’s Spray Paint Week!
Happy Monday! I came to a kind of interesting realization about myself over the weekend. I prepare for big changes in my life (like having a baby, starting a new job, etc.) by decorating, crafting and spray painting. Hear me out. I loved the polka dot garland that I made for my sister's shower so much, that I think no party or holiday around here will go without it from now on. So easy, so pretty, so cute! *** Now for my "big news". I had no intentions of returning to teaching before having another baby. No intentions at all. However, a job opportunity pretty ... House Hunting in Charleston…Which House Would You Choose?
I wish we had the kind of funds it would take to buy a home in the historic party of Charleston, SC. But we don't. Trust me. I was following a horse-drawn carriage tour down the street, and I overheard the tour guide telling people how much it cost to live there...we. can't. afford. it. (Yes, I was eavesdropping on a tour that I didn't technically pay for...for several blocks...or more.) Jen played a little game like this on her blog a few weeks ago, and I loved the idea so ...
