I have a goal this spring and summer. If you are a regular reader of my blog, then you know about my goal. I want to put more effort into making the outside of my house pretty. I am starting small with these cute little rope-wrapped (say that 10 times fast!) and painted terra cotta planters for our outdoor table centerpiece. Aren't they pretty?! (And yes, those are fake Ikea plants in the rope wrapped pots...for now.) I plan to plant some real flowers in them soon! Here's how made ... Read More about Rope-Wrapped Pots

Finding My Photo Style…
I really like taking photos. It is a hobby that I've developed in recent years and am constantly practicing and perfecting. I purchased my succulents at a local greenhouse, but you can find them pretty much anywhere. I even saw some at Wal-Mart the other day. To see my tutorial on how to plant succulents, click here. I made the little clips by ... Read More about A Sweet Mother’s Day Gift
A Surprise Day at the Winery!
Just about a year ago my mom retired. She worked hard as an elementary school speech pathologist for 30+ years, and, if you'd ask her, attended bagillions of case conferences, given zillions of hearing tests, and spent millions of hours working with her students...(all facts and figures are probably about accurate)! We knew we had to celebrate this lady's hard work with a surprise party at a local winery! My sister and I invited a small group of her friends for some fun, food, and, of course, ...
